As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation unfolds with growing escalation we wanted to take the opportunity to advise you on proactive steps and measures Hooper Accountants is taking to minimise the potential impact on our services.
Attending our offices
Currently, both our Toowoomba and Pittsworth offices remain open and available for clients to attend for appointments. We would like to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff and our clients. At this point in time it is ‘business as usual’ and we anticipate that this will remain the case so long as there are no Government instructions to the contrary, at which point we will advise clients on the operations of our offices.
At this stage, we have no reported instances of COVID-19 within our staff and are not aware of any contact our staff have had with the virus. However, to be as cautious as possible, we are requiring any team member who is displaying any flu like symptoms to work from home.
We are strictly following the Government recommended protocols around personal hygiene and have the appropriate facilities for hand washing and hand sanitising available at reception and through out the office.
If you do not feel comfortable attending our office for an appointment we have a wide range of options available for you to contact us and discuss your needs with our team; including phone, email and video-conferencing. In line with Government recommendations and to ensure safety of our office we ask that if you have recently traveled overseas, have come into contact with someone who has traveled overseas or are displaying any flu like symptoms that you avoid attending our offices.
Hooper Accountants have introduced measures over the last few weeks to ensure that we are able to continue to operate largely unhindered in the event that a direction is issued for people to no longer attend their places of business.
This includes firmwide remote access arrangements, firm wide availability to work from home, testing of remote arrangements and use of our existing online communication systems.
In determining our response to ongoing developments, we are guided by Government authorised guidelines and official medical advice.
During this time we wish everyone the best of health and urge everyone to take appropriate precautions to care for yourself and others.
